Getting started

New to the game? On the title screen, tap How to Play for a short guided game as Rome. It teaches one idea at a time: resources, building, armies, the World Alarm, diplomacy, the market and how to win.

The Mediterranean of 270 BC is free. The other worlds are sold separately, or all together.

Common questions

How do I unlock a world? Tap New Campaign, choose a world marked PACK, choose a nation, then tap Unlock at the bottom of the screen. To unlock every world at once, tap Unlock Every World under the list of worlds.

How do I restore a purchase? Tap New Campaign, then Restore Purchases under the list of worlds. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.

How do I get a refund? Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I play with friends? Tap Play Online and sign in to Game Center. Host a match, pick a world and a nation, and invite friends through Game Center. Each player takes a turn whenever they like, and the computer plays every nation no one has taken. Only the host needs to own a paid world.

What happens if I don't take my turn? You have a day for each turn. If time runs out, the computer plays that one turn for you and you keep your nation.

Is my campaign saved? Yes, automatically, on your iPhone. It comes back with an iCloud or computer backup when you move to a new phone. Online matches are kept by Game Center.

Do I need an account? No. Solo games need no sign-in at all. Only online play uses Game Center.
